I found the software by Googling 'snapshots from DVDs.'
I have VLC Media Player on my PC which I used successfully to do snapshots when my operating system was Windows XP. It doesn't seem to work with Windows 10.
I use the snapshot software to get photos for the covers of the jewel boxes in which I put the movie DVD's. On the other - inside - I put the cast listing.

  • The Video to Picture Image Converter is a professional video to picture conversion software that captures every frame of video and then save to still picture/image file such as JPG, BMP, PNG, TIFF, etc. After conversion, you will get an image sequence, and then.
  • Play the video using iTunes, Windows Media Player, or whatever video player you prefer. Pause where you want the picture. Click Start (in Windows 8, just go to the Start screen), type snip,.

I use DVD snapshot to extract pictures for DVD introductions and menu's.
I also use it to extract photographs from family films for photograph albums and slideshows.
I find the zoom and speed functions useful.
I came across DVD snapshot by searching the Internet for a program that would run under Microsoft Vista, that had the ability to take snapshots from DVD's.
I found that Sonic had dropped snapshot from the only player that worked on Vista.
Cyberlink only had expensive software to do it.
Windows Media player did not have this facility.
The current version satisfies my requirements.

My VB6 program uses your DVD Snapshot to capture snaps from a water well DVD. I Shell to your program, place the snaps in a certain directory that my program reads and imports the snaps into placeholders while your program is running.
