With newer Windows 10 Builds Microsoft added a new DWORD registry named HideBasedOnVelocityId that hides the 'command prompt' option when there is a 'Shift+right-click' action in File Explorer.

Just like that there is a new DWORD registry named ShowBasedOnVelocityId that add the 'Open PowerShell window here' option in File Explorer context menu. The value of both DWORD registry is 639bc8.

So what you can do 'delete' the HIdeBasedOnVelocityId' from the locations I mentioned earlier. You need admin privilege to perform this action.

Hell yes, getting into and changing registry is a mess, that's why we've taken the time to create a registry script, so you don't have to go through the process. All you have to download the below-attached zip file, extract and run the registry file with admin privileges.

What does this registry script do:

Hides the 'HideBasedOnVelocityId' DWORD registry and adds registry that will enable the 'Open Command Prompt here' in SHIFT + Right-Click context menu.

Download the zip file, extract with default Windows option or use a tool like Winrar or other inside you'll get a (.REG) file to add 'Open command window here' option:

Opening the registry file will ask you for a confirmation, right click you have to confirm it so it will add the option to right-click context menu while pressing the shift button.

And on Desktop.

There is also a second file to undo the changes you've made to the system registry database. By opening 'Remove Command Prompt option', you can again remove the command prompt option from the right-click context menu.

The ZIP file also contains another registry script to remove the 'Open command window here' option from the context menu to restore default settings.

How to Remove PowerShell from Right-Click Context Menu

in order to remove the 'Open PowerShell window here' option from right-click context menu, visit these locations, and change ShowBasedOnVelocityId DWORD to HideBasedOnVelocityId and Powershell options will fade away.
